Marcelo Paganini is a French/Brazilian composer, producer,
multi-instrumentalist (guitar, keyboards, harmonica, cavaquinho, bass, percussion, drums), arranger, sound designer, movie maker, singer, poet,
writer, journalist (correspondent for Brazilian alternative newspaper Cometa Itabirano in Paris) and actor, living in Paris since 1984... He has also lived
and worked in New York City, where he played with virtuoso guitar player Tiberio Nascimento. He started playing music back in 1975. Marcelo Paganini is a member of legendary band of bands from Belo Horizonte "Tribo de Solos". His one man midi band show "Marcelo Paganini is the Band" was one of the first brazilian live electronic acts back in 1986 and has influenced countless musicians and bands. He has his own studio in Montreuil, near Paris, and has the only brazilian funk/rock band in France. "Virtualmente real: Realmente virtual" (Virtually real: Really virtual) independent cd was released in 1996 in France and Brazil...
Marcelo Paganini wrote "Belo Horizonte", his first symphony in
2004. He wrote more than 300 songs during the last 30 years...

is his first experimental short movie. The movie, shown at the 5th Belo
Horizonte Short Movie Festival in Brazil in 2003, was very well received by
the public. It was also screened at Bergane Grond Festival at The Hague

Marcelo Paganini est un compositeur, musicien, journaliste (correspondent à Paris du journal alternatif brésilien Cometa Itabirano), poète, acteur, producteur et réalisateur franco-brésilien, établi à Paris depuis plus de vingt ans. Il a également vécu et travaillé à New York, où il a joué avec le guitariste virtuose Tiberio Nascimento. Il a commencé à jouer de la musique dès 1975. Marcelo Paganini est membre du légendaire groupe des groupes de Belo Horizonte "Tribo de Solos". Son spectacle homme orchestre midi "Marcelo Paganini is the Band" a été l..un des premiers groupes de musique électronique au Brésil en 1986 et a influencé une foule de musiciens et des groupes. Il a monté son propre studio à Montreuil, près de Paris, et dirige le seul groupe de funk/rock brésilien en France. Marcelo Paganini a écrit sa première symphonie, «Belo Horizonte», en 2004. Marcelo Paganini a écrit les paroles de la chanson ..«Sigo na contramão» pour le film «Fly fishing» (Metteur en Scène: David Williams - Angleterre, 2002, 82min), récompensé au Festival du Film Indépendant de Californie (best original score).
Levando-se em conta que o protocolo MIDI foi lançado em 1984, é fácil entender porque o franco-brasileiro Marcelo Paganini é um dos pioneiros da música eletronica na França, tendo participado do LP "Four French Forms" (Delphes Records) com Zex Pitron gravado em 1985 no estúdio de Luc Mariani e lançado em 1986, citado na Discografia do rock frances e em vários livros sobre a música eletronica.

Marcelo Paganini é também um dos pioneiros da música eletronica no Brasil, com o show Marcelo Paganini is the Band no Stricnina em Belo Horizonte MG também em 1986, que influenciou inúmeros músicos e bandas, os futuros integrantes do Skank, Jota Quest, moleques na época, não saiam de lá por exemplo...
Na França, Marcelo Paganini tem a única banda de funk/rock brasileiro, em atividade desde 1985.
Em 1990 Marcelo Paganini se mudou para Nova Iorque onde tocou com o violonista virtuoso Tibério Nascimento e várias feras do jazz americano. De volta à Paris, o cd independente "VIRTUALMENTE REAL: REALMENTE VIRTUAL" foi lançado em 1996 na França e no Brasil, e tem a participação de Lô Borges, com quem Marcelo Paganini fez dois shows no BH Shopping em Belo Horizonte em 1989 que marcaram época como um encontro da música eletronica com o Clube da Esquina.
Marcelo Paganini é membro da Tribo de Solos e fez shows com o Serpente... A banda de rock Kamikaze gravou duas músicas de Marcelo Paganini: "Blues de ninguém", um dos maiores sucessos da banda na qual ele faz uma participação especial tocando teclados, e "Upstings", no ultimo cd da banda mixado no estúdio de Peter Gabriel na Inglaterra.

Paralelamente, Marcelo Paganini tem dirigido e produzido curta metragens desde 2003, participado de vários festivais internacionais no Brasil, Holanda, Inglaterra, Islandia e esteve presente no Festival de Cannes 2008 onde seu curta sobre a morte de Jean Charles de Menezes "The 8th Bullet Samba" participou do Short Film Corner. Durante o festival ele dirigiu o curta "You flip me over" para a "Cannes à la Flip Competition"
