The Marching Ravens Drumline is part of Baltimore's Marching Ravens, an all volunteer organization committed to bringing quality musical entertainment and a "traditional football atmosphere" to all Ravens home games. Comprised of more than 300 musicians, flagline, color guard and equipment crew, Baltimore's Marching Ravens is the largest musical organization associated with the NFL.
Led by Cameron Willey and David Ciafolo, the drumline maintains a full rehearsal schedule. In addition to regular Wednesday night rehearsals at the Ravens Training Complex in Owings Mills with the rest of the band, the drumline also practices on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. from February through the end of the season (including Playoffs).
In addition to standard Band/Drumline duties, including Gameday Concert, Parade, Pregrame and Halftime performances, these "professional noisemakers," as the NFL has dubbed them, also delight the Ravens gameday crowd with standstill selections after halftime and keep the fans in the game from their seats in the east endzone at M&T Bank Stadium.
The Marching Ravens stay active during the offseason by promoting the Ravens, Baltimore, and our city's pride by taking part in various local events (parades, fan festivals, etc). Occasionally, the band takes its show on the road by representing Baltimore/Maryland in other cities (Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade, President Bush's Inaugural Parade, etc.).
