Marcia’s debut “Indie” release “Pink Clouds” has garnered international airplay and placement of her song “Wild” on MTV’s ”Laguna Beach” and “The Hills. SESAC affiliated. Marcia’s music (over 800 songs in her catalogue) is based on real life experiences and Marcia’s “Life Journey”. Many artists touch us but few uncover the emotional truth, which lies deep within us.
In a recent interview Marcia revealed, “I did not choose music, music chose me”. I was a teenager in Houston, TX I was in ROTC (can you believe that) I was going to be a pilot and live my life looking down from the clouds. In the late 90’s, two monumental events showed me that “music is what I am”. I always had a passion for music, but I didn’t sing, write, read music or play any instruments. I was given a Keyboard as a gift, I plugged it in started pushing the keys and the music just spoke to me, I have been playing by ear ever since. The music inspired lyrics and I began to write, I have over 800 songs just waiting to be heard. The second event showed me that I belonged on stage. I was in the audience of a “PRINCE” concert when a member of his stage crew approached me and I was asked to go dance on stage. Twenty Thousand People, The Lights, The Energy, The Music and PRINCE. It was at that moment that I truly understood “Music is what I am”.
Marcia’s Performance skills, flare fashion and ability to “work a room” were honed in the clubs of Houston while she created her debut album “Pink Clouds”, following the albums release Marcia knew it was time to move to the next level and moved to New York where she Models and works on her Clothing Line while she continues to write, record and perform.
The latest milestone in Marcia’s career is sure to take her to new heights; Marcia has been signed as the newest artist to be signed by Buddha Monk Management. Marcia is far from looking down from the clouds as she once imagined but she is sure to be living on “Pink Clouds Forever”
