How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old grief, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
-Elizabeth Barret Browning-
Well my family is the most important thing to me. I miss my mother dreadfully losing her in 1995 was the biggest loss of my life. Then I lost my best freind/soulmate to cancer in 2000. The second biggest loss of my life.
I am married,in my fifties and the mother of two grown sons. The lights of my life! I have no grandkids yet, but my youngest son just got married and we hope a grandchild is not too far down the road. I am surrogate grandma to the friend afore mentioned four grandbabies Nicholas, Wyatt, Avery and Halle and I love them with all my heart, What joy!! My Dad is 87 and going strong, I love him so! and I have 3 sisters, one who found me 8 years ago. WOW! That was a Great Day! Now I have 2 older sisters and one younger. I am not the middle child alone.
I also cherish my friends and I have some very good ones!
I love animals, we have 4 little dogs, a cat, a bird and some goldfish in a pond on the patio. Also 3 granddogs and a grandcat, whom I babysit often. I love my patio and yard with many flowers and greenery.
Who I'd like to meet:
Can't wait to meet Mom again!
If tears could build a stairway,
and memories build a lane.
I'd walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again.
