Here we are goofing off at Sharkey's with some "Patience"
Marcie Bullock presents to you an undeniable talent through rock infused, soulful melodies and powerful lyrics. She can evoke an emotion with every word, and every note is a story within itself. With a sound described as a “retro rock” where old school meets new school, here lies a voice and style that will make you want to keep listening.
A native of Huntington, WV, Marcie holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and has performed with various musicians throughout the Tri-State areas of OH, WV, and KY. During her time at Marshall University she sang with the 12:00 O'clock Jazz Ensemble, which allowed her to perform in the community, around the state of WV, and in the Notre Dame Jazz Festival. Aside from performing with this ensemble, she has had the pleasure of gracing stages in New Orleans, LA, and Memphis, TN.
Marcie has been recognized for her vocal ability and musicality through multiple awards, the biggest being the fans that keep coming back for more. To name a few, she was presented with three certificates at the Notre Dame Jazz Festival for "Outstanding Performer" and "Outstanding Vocalist" in 2004 by well known jazz musicians Peter Erskine, Dave Carpenter, and Jon Faddis. She won two competitions in 2005 naming her one of the best female vocalists in the Tri-State areas of OH, WV,and KY.
Marcie's debut album, "Spent," is now available online, at local stores, and performance venues. "Spent" is a concept album, consisting of 9 original songs spanning the genres of soul/funk, rock 'n roll, jazz, and blues. Based on the stages of a relationship, it outlines the emotions and experiences that come along with the newness, the downfall, and the aftermath of falling in love. The mixture of genres of music appropriately fits the mood of each song. "Who Knew" and "When I'm With You" carry the fun, funky/upbeat soul sound to go along with the newness and happiness of a budding relationship. The hard-rock driven melodies and lyrics of "Maybe Just Crazy," "Left Unsaid," and "Damaged" depict the hurt, the anger, and the frustration of the not knowing and the break-up itself. "Can't Undo," "Try," and "Little Did You Know" envelope the longing and the sadness from the loss and heartache. "The Business" is a track depicting the artist's opinion on just what it says, the business.

Hello Marcie Greetings from Dallas Firstly, I hope all is well with you and yours. You have a great sound and voice. Hoping all is going well with your work. Thank you for the friendship. I am a new artist spreading my work. My debut album came out in May. I personally touch base with everyone on my friend’s list, and I want to take this time and share my latest news. In my latest blog I posted the transcript of my recent interview with MUEN Magazine, which was featured in the October issue. It explains a lot more about who I am behind the music, if you are interested. There is a free mp3 download of a song I did called “Be Still” that can exclusively be downloaded from my iLike profile. Just click on any of the banner links on the right side of my main profile page to access my iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, iLike, official page etc. If you will, please add me at any site you are on, as I do different things on each site. I am also announcing that “Blush” and “Disclaimer”, two songs off my debut album “The Good Fight”, will soon be downloadable on Xbox live and PS3 Nation to play on Rock Band. i leave you know with my video for my version of “House of the Rising Sun”. Hope you enjoy it. If you dig my work, share it with a friend. I don’t care about fame or money, I am just one man who loves making music, and dedicates my life to sharing it with as many people as possible. Thank you again for your friendship and support.
