As a musician and composer, I am currently involved in different world music projects: from India to Africa.

The group Taffetas is the second project and can be defined as a blend of many influences. West-African roots, Indian and Mongolian influences with a lot of improvisation all mixed together. The other musicians involved in Taffetas are Ibrahima Galissa on Kora, Nana Cissokho playing Kora and singing, Christophe Erard playing bass and double bass and singing, and myself playing guitar. « GendeRevolution » est le fruit de 10 années de périples et de voyages en Inde à étudier intensément la musique classique de l’Inde du Nord . Il présente un projet de «world-impro-jazz» vraiment original s’inspirant d’une musique millénaire et présente également un nouvel et unique instrument, la « sit-guitare » que j'ai conçue spécialement pour jouer de la musique Indienne. Cette guitare s’apparente par certains côtés au sitar ou au sarode, et a en plus des 6 cordes normales, 10 cordes additionnelles, 2 cordes servant de bourdons (chikari) et 8 cordes servant de cordes sympatiques (taraf). .. Toutes les compositions sont originales et basées sur des “ragas“, morceaux aux développements multiples et aux sonorités riches teintées d’atmosphères orientales de blues, de jazz ou de musique africaine.
