  • May 19 2009 7:22 PM

Hey Turkey Ballz, how fix my profile page so it's readable like yours? I want to keep my background, have the text boxes like yours. Also, you need to listen to Cause Co-Motion. I think you'll like them if you don't already listen to them.

HA, funny right? sometimes i unplug the phone though, if i'm writing or asleep, so if you try it and it either rings forever or gives you a busy signal...i'm out to lunch;) but i'm excited about it. it's still hard for me to get decent calling cards here that don't crap out before i'm done using up all the money i spent on them, even the 'nice' ones you buy online. i've wasted so much damn change on those cards. anyway, feel free to give a ring when you can, drunk, sober, high, whatever. life over here is good, i have a new grip on things and i'm excited to see where this could go.

bookshop is ok. i just feel like i'm living in a movie now that i'm working retail during the holidays. seriously.

bet ten bucks my friends will be at the Diagrams show on saturday. i'll text & find out. maybe you guys can introduce yourselves. you should email me your melbourne digits so i can pass them on just in case.

saw two undercover cop arrests today. now some short muscley mexican men are piling mattresses an dchairs onto the bed of a truck. never a dull omment around here. a one-legged man on crutches in a members only jacket hobbled up and down the street all day today. i hope he wasn't lost.

Not that I know of...I could make a fake one for you if you'd like?
  • Nov 14 2008 6:37 PM

i know what you mean about missing london. the thing is, once you master that city, it's like a secret source of pride, and it's embarrassing to feel out of place or lost anywhere smaller than that. despite sf being 'home' i am still not really gelling with things here. i'm getting there but it'll never be like london was for me from 04-07, in the thick of it all....

check out a club night run by friends of mine. 'us v them.' it's a monthly. i can forward some profiles for you and maybe you can meet up with a few peeps i know.

sunny in sf today. i kinda miss british grey.

I've lost yours as well. I was going to text you the other day about something, that I've now forgotten. I will send it to you and you can send me your new number.

You can be happy. Ohio has redeemed itself.

murakami is one of my all-time favorite writers but i've been saving norwegian wood, and it was worth it.

going home is really weird. there's nothing quite like it after making another place your HOME for a long time. i never thought i'd return to the states to live, and even now-i remain skeptical. it is nice to be taken care of and to take care of yourself, london somehow makes it REALLY difficult to do that. i don't really know why...it just does. i get the feeling if i lived in NYC it'd be the same too. there are so many distractions and you have to work so damn hard to pay the bills it's impossible to really take care of yourself.

i already voted-by mail. i'm saying my prayers for mr. obama. i'm more fearful than excited. we've fucked shit up before who's to say it won't happen again....

my titties are apparently perky enough to go happily without a bra. i've really only worn them to keep my clothes from being see-through. it was never because i NEEDED one...

give a listen to a band called Starflyer 59. i'm listening to them now and am rather enjoying it.

i will get down there. i need to write the book first...
  • Nov 2 2008 6:48 PM

i've stopped wearing bras. life is confusing and beautiful at the same time. i'm not sure if i'm in love or not or if i'm forcing something but i can't be forcing something if i want it at least more than 1/2way right? my mom and i were terrified on tuesday afternoon when we gave a ride to a strange woman at the train station and she turned out to be a psychotic nomadic born-again christian. my buses are all running late today and it looks lik ei'm going to have to walk to work when all i really want to do is sit on my duff and read murakami's 'norwegian wood.'

frankly i think i might rather be in the southern hemisphere with you checking out the scene. i still may bail in a year or so on this town. i dunno.

    how's home?
  • Oct 17 2008 3:17 AM

you's the best! it's funny because i was just on the phone with him, and you came into the conversation! how funny. hope you're doing well back down unda.

goodness i know what that surreal-like first trip home is like. i'm still tripped out/not used to being in america.
hope you've gotten over the jetlag at least!
