Bio:

I am putting my performing shoes back on. This is my solo project, and my first offering is called "The sun that somewhat sets". I am originally from Thorold/St Catharines, Ontario but mostly call Toronto my home. I am obsessive about music and its effect on daily life. and life... made up of a thousand vignettes , all in the form of song...arent we all junkies.. . thx for listening...marco Your Ghost by Marco SOlo

Influences:

I grew up last of 7 kids. As you can imagine, my entire record collection was borrowed/stolen from them .. It was also very eclectic. The first 45 I bought (age 7) was "Your still the one " by a band whose name escapes me. My brothers made sure I grew up on rawk, and my sister made sure I had a sensitive side. My mother sung italian folks songs to me in the crib, and still to this day , I credit her with all my harmony skills. People say I sound like a cross between Elvis Costello and Elvis Costello. Here is a short list of my musical heroes... Springsteen,Costello, Diamond, Ron Sexsmith, Clash, Elvis, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, Umberto Tozzi, Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Lowest of the Low, Arcade Fire. i will update as I remember more..
