Many thanx to my friends and mentors: Denis Charles, Don Cherry, Earl Cross, Bill Dixon, Cecil Taylor, Sonny Simmons, Jimmy Lyons, Jim Pepper, Dewey Redman. And my co-conspirators: Jackson Krall, Donald Robinson, Spirit, Peter Valsamis, William Parker, Lisle Ellis; and of course Glenn Spearman and Raphe Malik.
Musician/Composer/alto saxophonist Marco Eneidi has learned music by way of the oral tradition from his many close friends and mentors. Aesthetics, composition and the organization of sound structure comes mainly through two close personal friendships with Bill Dixon and Cecil Taylor. Composition teachers have included William Allaudin Mathieu, Pauline Oliveros and Alvin Curran. On the horn would have to of course include Sonny Simmons for sound, Jimmy Lyons for speed, and Jim Pepper, Dewey Redman, C - Sharpe, Don Cherry and Earl Cross for love and support. Time/Space/Rhythm and the snap-crackle-pop of life from Denis Charles, Jackson Krall, Spirit and Donald Robinson. And Way Down Low from Wilbur Morris, Peter Kowald, William Parker and Lisle Ellis.

- open stage for free music will take place in it's fourth edition on
June the first, next Monday! After last time's success we
are heading for the next great evening of improvised music
where we'll once again try to make the border between artist and spectator
vanish, at least make it appear vaguer than usual. So if you got any musical
ideas you think you could share with us, perform at ours, come along next
Monday for another great Open Stage! (But you of course are as well welcome as
a spectator, maybe it will get you)
Ciao Marco!! is a big pleasure be in your page :-) I had great time at Celeste, is a very very nice situation. I hope to have the opportunity to enjoy again.
thank you very much. actually weasel walter has written me yesterday to help him get your duo a gig in ljubljana. and i proposed we could also do some collective group impro concert with your duo and my duo together...we'll see...look forward to play with you in any combination:), whatever ideas you have just write. all the best, m.
I see you will be in the states again next year - wrong coast however!! As far as the duet whew - I haven't touched a string in a long time! My son is doing good with the tenor still, building a very solid foundation - thinking about getting him some private lessons from a jazz player this summer, he is both overwhelmed by general school junk and somewhat bored with the music they are playing right now.
