Garagem was elected to be part of the 2001 Porto European Cultural Capital’s Agenda, and thus giving the agency the tools to commence a drum and bass monthly event. Towards the end of 2003, Garagem felt a need to once again innovate and hence started a new cycle: Garagem@Junkie. Miss Kittin, an unparallel name of the electro-techno scene debuted this new cycle. Following up on its success, the press didn’t’ want to stand aside this phenomenon, and praised this new cycle as a must seen, long due in the Portuguese panorama. 2003 was also the year that Garagem gave birth to one of the most ambitious projects ever to take place in the Portuguese electronic scene. Till that date line-ups like that were only possible in big summer Festivals. Garagem had outdone it self once again. 2009 is already turning out to be another massive year for Garagem. SINCE THE DAWN OF DAYS THAT GOD AND DEVIL HADN'T MET FOR A CHAT. IT SO HAPPENED THAT GOD WAS INTRIGUED REGARDING THE LACK OF PEOPLE THAT WERE IN HEAVEN. Já podem escutar o revisitado tema "BAR DA GNR", tema nº 2 do EP e que precede às "GUITARRAS DE GUERRA".
Este tema já com alguns anitos lavou a cara e foi gravado no inicio de 2009 com novos arranjos, mantendo no entanto todo o carisma que vez dele um dos hinos dos ERVAS DANINHAS.
Durante 20 dias, mais ou menos, vão poder entrar no "BAR DA GNR" e buer uma cervejola e morfar uma entremeada e até mesmo apanhar uma carraspana sem ficarem de cana...
Dêm gás no volume e acordem os vizinhos... pelo menos aqueles que dormem a sesta ao Domingo à tarde.
O "BAR DA GNR" contou com a presença de dois convidados muito especiais, foram eles o Igor e o Arroja dos SHIVERS, que por entre copos de binho e assaltos à sacristia ainda tiveram tempo para uma ida à Sela... ops, desculpem o erro... uma ida à cela.
Um grande abraço para eles e um grande abraço para todos vocês!
