Muzikom se bavi od 1989., kada, samouk, nakon uspešnog "po sluhu" reprodukovanja raznih popularnih melodija, ubrzo shvata da želi da stvara nesto svoje. Kao kompozitor i tekstopisac snima svoju prvu pesmu 1992., pod uticajem rep umetnika popularnih u to vreme. Marko tada pravi lupove kopirajuci sekvencu ritma sa trake na traku (sa jednog deka na drugi) , a onda snima vokal preko 12-okanalne miksete. Danas uglavnom radi u programu Cubase.
Nikada nije bio gangster, niti je to ikada želeo. Gangsteri su ponekad previše romantizovani u filmovima. Istina je da su to jako loši ljudi koji svoje komšije i bracu navlace na heroin. Takode, gangstere je uvek moguce kupiti novcem i raznim drugim stvarima. Marko je oduvek voleo da piše i komponuje. Ima buntovnicko srce, ali nikada nije buntovnik samo buntovništva radi. Uvek postoje konkretni razlozi. Gangsteraj mu je u jednom periodu delovao interesantno kao kontra sistemu koji eksploatiše radnog i vrednog coveka, ali je brzo shvatio da skoro nijedan gangster nema svoju filozofiju. Samo pohlepu.
Marconiero sebe vidi kao pisca i kompozitora, borca za ljudska prava, borca protiv zaludivanja masa i malogradanskog dvojnog morala, borca za istinu. Sa malo kim može da saraduje, ponekad upravo zbog nacela kojima se vodi.
Osnivac i frontmen hip hop dvojca, a kasnije i benda D-fence. Pod imenom D-fence stvarao i nastupao od 1996. do 2007-me, i u tom periodu imao nastupe širom (ili cirom) Srbije, od kojih izdvaja nastupe na EXIT festivalu 2003., 2004., 2005. i 2006. godine. 2003. kao D-fence objavljuje album "Urbanizam i renesansa" za izdavaca One Records. Ucestvovao jednom pesmom i jednim remiksom na EP-ju CB4-Ol Skul Shit, objavljenom 2004-te godine za Ammonite Records. Neke od njegovih pesama su se našle na nekoliko srpskih hip hop kompilacija (Tilt, Provera mikrofona, Strukturna iluzija...)
Danas se, kao i uvek, bavi komponovanjem i pisanjem pesama, snimanjem i produkcijom zvuka, povremeno i DJ-ingom.
Trenutno radi na 1- svom solo albumu, 2 - albumu koji sprema od 2007-me sa sugradjaninom MC-jem i beatmaker-om znanim pod imenom I-Bee, a 3 - nešto što je poceo još pre 5 godina, a u tome su mu se decembra 2007-me prikljucili i gitarista i pisac Hans Pity Orli i jedan od pionira niške klubske scene DJ Funky Junkie, je nešto najzrelije što je radio do sada.
Takodje se od 2000-te godine bavi i osmišljavanjem i produkcijom radijskih reklamnih spotova. Neke od njih možete cuti ovde.
Nastupao je kao MC i sa bendom Stay Tuned i gitaristom Vladikom, a takodje saradjuje i sa gitaristom, kompozitorom i lingvistom Brankom Stankovicem.
Marconiero je gostovao svojim glasom i na albumu "Do pobede" benda Margita je mrtva.
Marconiero (Marko Jovanovic, born on 10th of May in 1977. in Niš, Srbija (Serbia)) starts playing music in 1989., and after managing to reproduce many other author's melodies without notes (only by hearing them), he realizes that he has an ambition to create something of his own. He makes his very first recording as a lyricist & composer in 1992., being under great influence of numerous rap bands and artists, popular @that time. The song was played on the radio (and a second song he ever recorded) by a local radio station DJ, who was more kind of rock-oriented, so after the playing of this rather long (around 6') rap tune (which itself consisted of 3 separate stories, but with the same message - Don't Ever Dance With The Devil") he said: "I guess this guy is some relative of Tolstoy... He performed with D-fence and CB4 @ EXIT festival in Novi Sad for four years in a row, (2003-2006) two years with pre-made instrumentals, and two years with the band (the bands, actually. In a year, Marko changed the whole band and engaged another band from Nish, which was already playing as an independent assembly called Stay Tuned, known for it's funky&jazzy groove). With "Stay Tuned" Marconiero previosly had a few live performances. In 2003. the publisher One Records introduced the album "D-fence - Urbanizam i renesansa", where Marconiero wrote the music and most of the lyrics. In 2004. the EP CB4 - Ol Skul Shit was published by Ammonite Records, where Marconiero had a track "Do poda", and he did a remix for the track "Dim iz lule". From 2001. to 2006. he was the author of the hip hop radio show "Word Up", Fridays 20h-21h, on the local radio, Fast Radio 102,7 FM. In 2006. He started a new show called "Medo i Zeko" ("A Bear And A Rabbit), on the sam radio station, on Wednesdays (17h-21h), which he is running with his friend Petar Petkovic, and it mostly consists of live mixes, with commertial breaks:((
Starting with 2007., D-fence, as such, no longer exists. Marconiero works solo, and also with I-Bee, an MC and a beatmaker, with whom he had a few independent public performances, and they are collaborating on a mutual album. He also works with Trip-Air. From time to time he meets with a guitar-player, composer and a linguist Branko Stankovic, and they make some recordings. The most recent thing he started is the one with Hans Pity Orli (a guitar-player from Goribor, an underground blues trip hop band from Bor, Serbia) and DJ Funky Junkie, from Marconiero's hometown. They are working on a mutual album, which is mostly consisted of some earlier Marconiero's unpublished works, refreshed with Pity's playing and FJ's sampling and scratching...
