First of all, thanks for stopping by on MySpace! As you can see, finally the layout has changed a bit, but what you can't see is that in order to do so I had to steal back the username and password from the people who originally created this space :o)
From now on, this will be my personal page and I will try to update the blog as often as I can. You can also subscribe to my e-mail newsletter of course!
Please feel free to add me to your list of friends or leave a comment,
Hope to meet you out there soon, Marco.
If you were to define the term ‘dance music purist’, you’d take into consideration a number of factors... knowledge, passion and substance. Combine them together and you get Marco V. Like many of the world’s superstar DJs Marco was born and bred in Holland. He is a modest and down to earth family man with an undying lust for music. Entrenched in the scene from an early age, it was clear right from the start which path Marco would take.
The rest as they say is dance music history, but a history that Marco has not only shaped but continues to re-define with every thought out move. Few DJs have done more than Marco V to draw new talent into the dance music vortex. Whilst inspiring new producers, he has also been described as the DJ’s DJ with many of his colleagues closing following what he does both in the studio and behind the decks – this is testament to his impeccable taste, and unrivalled talent.
To stay ahead to the game you have to adapt as trends change, and Marco is the master at this. On the decks he holds complete control of the crowd with a style that is impossible to put into words, incorporating anything from fierce electro to driving techno and beyond. Travel the globe and you’ll be hard pushed find a major club that hasn’t felt his force.
His studio has belted out more anthems than a national football team. From classics like ‘Indicator’, ‘Simulated’ and ‘Godd’ through to present day floorfillers such as ‘Second Bite’, ‘More Than A Life Away’ and ‘Red Blue Purple’ and his reverential and massively successful updates of classics such as ‘Café Del Mar’ and ‘Loops & Tings Relooped’ leaving his discography the envy of most.
His passion and perfectionism shine through in everything he does. His Combi:Nations mix series has been a huge critical and commercial success, giving listeners at home the entire spectrum of Marco’s sound, from intimate backroom floors to the Dutch techmachine in full effect on the dancefloor. His artist album 200V was a similar smash spawning yet more dance floor destroyers and catapulting him onto the Radio 1 playlist. 2008 sees the 3rd artist album and several brand new singles from Marco and it goes without saying – all combined, they’ll form another accolade for the V mantelpiece!
Genius, pioneer, legend - throw all these glowing tributes his way and Marco will just shrug them off with an unassuming smile. These are words used regularly when his name is mentioned but this doesn’t lead him to arrogance. Some people are born with music running through their veins and Marco V is one of them – A musical chameleon whose musical fire burns on and on. Year in year out – it feels like the story of Marco V has only just begun!
Marco V is considered to be one of the most influential producers of our time, with his music proving to be a driving force in shaping the modern tech-trance arena. His influence over a generation of fellow producers and DJs artists is quite unheard of with many touting Marco has THE reason they’re in dance music today. Now he’s back, with his fourth studio album and the first in over three years, Propaganda. For a man whose touch has been so potent, he couldn’t have picked a more appropriate title. Spanning trance, techno, progressive and a more chilled out sound, this is Marco V at his best. Pushing the concept of the artist album further, Marco has collaborated with hot UK illustrator Vee Ladwa, who has worked on projects such as Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four. Vee was bought on board by Marco to add a very special twist to Propaganda, a comic on Marco V.

Wet Synthex is back with this double track EP of theme. The track Girls comes strong with pure heat. A sure fire party mover with great synth stabs, a delicate hook, and plenty of bounce. The second track of this release is a bit more humorous with a fun vocal hook stating My Girl Said Im a Genius. A more minimal approach is taken with this tune but be sure that it still carries the dance floor with its precision production and playful feel. DJ Amrith stops by to give a techy prog remix of My Girl Said.
Hello! Just wanted to tell you that my new release "Recover EP" is out now on Inov8 Recordings! :) The tunes were already supported by djs like Aly and Fila, Alex MORPH, Fast Distance, Woody van Eyden, Ernesto vs Bastian and the list still grow up!
