Who Is MarcPaperScissor?

I am a visual and musical artist. My work is the product of the thoughts, meditations, conversations, and questions I poses for myself and humanity, about life and society. I try to keep my style of cut paper colorful, moving and exciting, and I hope it adds current commentary to our society and the questions which have been posed by man since existence.

How Does He Do It?

To create my work I only use a regular scissor (No-Exacto knifes), a black sharpie, a glue stick, and different colored paper. I do not draw anything out before hand unless it is to work out a brief concept. Each shape is hand-cut with a scissor and given a distinct edge with a black sharpie. I than design, cut and assemble a variety of shapes from the vibrant colors. My compositions vary with color and space. My current body of work is entitled “Mental Space” an it is a journey through the mindscape of space and time, encompassing societal issues, and posing worldly questions about life and our place within the universe and beyond.

What is "The Scissor"?

"The Scissor" is a weekly Radio Show hosted by myself every tuesday from 4-6pm over the internet at Florida Atlantic University's: Owl Radio. You can listen to OwlRadio via OwlRadio.fau.edu. On it I cut up all the funkiest music from the past, present and future and paste it all together for your mind your soul and your booty. I have live acoustic acts, artists interviews, updates on events and concerts, and every show is guaranteed at least one James Brown song.
