....Marc Rous... stilistisch nicht allzu einfach in eine Schublade zu packen. Charismatisches „Liedgut", im Stile eines JEFF BUCKLEY dargeboten, trifft auf experimentellen Songwriter-Pop der verspielt und fernab des üblichen 3 Minuten 30 – Songschemas, die unterschiedlichsten Pfade einschlägt; ohne jedoch das Wesentliche aus den Augen zu verlieren: den Song! Ein ständiger Wechsel zwischen jazzigen, psychedelischen, folkigen, bluesigen und balladesken Musiklandschaften, die in ähnlicher Faszination schon von Chris Whitley oder Joni Mitchell heraufbeschworen wurden. Ob in klassischer Bandbesetzung, mit Jazztrio oder allein mit seiner Gitarre, er versteht es, sich und seine Songs immer wieder neu zu erfinden indem kein Titel wie der andere klingt, keine Stimmung irgendwelcher Eintönigkeit weicht und sich keine noch so verrückte Idee findet, die es nicht lohnt, sie in ihrer musikalischen „Psychose" umzusetzen. .... Marc Rous – experimental Songwriter-Pop from Dresden/Germany. Far beyond common 3'30 min song structures, his music strolls between jazzy, folky, bluesy and psychedelic musical landscapes. His earthy voice conducts the songs that flip-flop from poppy Piano ballads to bouncing rock tunes in an innovative and uncompromising method of songwriting. You'll hear synthesizers, violins, slide guitars and a backing band so tight that you sometimes forget that you're listening to a singer/songwriter. Charismatic Songs presented in a Jeff Buckley style, inspired by a long list of musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Elliot Smith and the deep massive open tuning sound of Chris Whitley. In a typical band setting, with a Jazz trio or just himself with his guitar he follows the tendency of reworking his sound and songs all the time, not to end in monotony or musical banalities. You can hear all of that on his debut album "Through a hurricane of frequencies", which is searching for label and distribution right now. Since last summer he and his band have been touring with the outstanding guitarist Klaus Spencker, performing a mix of Folk and experimental, contemporary Jazz-, Blues sound. A Crossover between virtuoso instrumental music and catchy Songwriter material. .. ..
