    Marc Tweedie is a composer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, working in both the instrumental and acousmatic fields. Since graduating from Queen's University, Belfast with 1st Class Hons BMus degree, Marc has embarked upon a PhD in Composition with Prof. Piers Hellawell at the same institution and is currently in his final year of research, with support from DEL. .. Marc has had a number of performances in Belfast and some further afield, with some exciting, recent projects including a new piece for chamber ensemble for QUB Camerata, his second commission for the ensemble, and a collection of pieces for solo instruments inc. bass flute (Zoli, published by 'rarescale editions'), bass clarinet (As If...), double bass (In Progress) and trombone (Cantus for Chris). His music has been performed by QUB Camerata, The Lawson Trio, rarescale, RIAM Percussion Quartet and The Kinsella Quartet, among others. .. Marc is also an active member of the Belfast music scene as a trumpeter, being involved in a variety of projects and recording with some of the city's most promising artists. .. Marc Tweedie is a composer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, working in both the instrumental and acousmatic fields. Since graduating from Queen's University, Belfast with 1st Class Hons BMus degree, Marc has embarked upon a PhD in Composition with Prof. Piers Hellawell at the same institution and is currently in his second year of research, with support from DEL.

Marc is also an active member of the Belfast music scene as a trumpeter, being involved in a variety of projects including a 9-piece original soul band, the N.I. Soul Troop, and recording with some of the city's most promising artists.

Marc is a member of the Irish Composers' Collective.
