About me:
Together Lionel and DJ Marcus form the B2B DJ team DJpac.
This two DJ’s were doing their own thing until they met each other at the age of 18. Because of their shared love for house and techno, they bonded strongly straight away. Their taste in music end the style they both play has grown to eachother which has lead to wath it is now. A massive floorfilling and unique experience.
When Putting this guys together for a banging B2B mix, you’ll get a touch of minimal and progressive, a lot of tribal loop techno and some schranz.
DJ Marcus is known for his broad choice of style in music. At the age of 16 het started playing clubtunes at a local club in his hometown called Stars. Soon he started to experiment with all sorts of house music.
After having his first big gig at New Years Eve for about 1000 partypeople he really started to feel that music was his choice of life.
This was his boost to really get into it. Marcus started ti play a progressive, tribalistic techno sound as he felt clubmusic went a bit over the top for him.
Marcus has been playing venues such as Bootleg DJ cafe Rotterdam, The blue lagoon and ended up second in his style the dutch Talentbeurs 2006 and performed at the 2007 edition.
Together with Lionel they also made a few guest perfomances as The DJpac duo on Radioshows such as Weekendstart (Radio AFM), Wave Transmission (Radio Scorpio Belgium) and co producing the weekly raddioshow DJpac radio on Radio Voorne.
Lionel got inspired at the age of 12 by the at that time very popular hardcore DJ’s, watching party video’s over and over again to see his rolemodels entertain 25000 people with their mixingskills.
As Lionel got older his taste in music moved to the hypnotic repetative sound of techno. After establishing his broad sound in techno, Ranging from minimal and techhouse all the way to schranz, he started to perform at various venues.
After meeting his “Partner in crime” DJ Marcus, Lionel got more serious in becoming a DJ. After losing in the quarterfinals of the 2006 edition of the Talentenbeurs, to his mate, Lionel reached the final in 2007. Most of his sets he plays together with DJ Marcus as the DJpac duo.
Lionel still tries to perfect his technique every day, playing four decks, loving both vinyl and cd’s. He also takes a lot of joy in producing a typical Lionelsound. Watch out for some of his own tracks in the near future.
