I hate ELEVATOR- MUSIC! Even more I dislike music without soul and meaning. Why do I play solo? No limitations. I can do whatever I want to and I don't have to wait.
Every day, there are thousands of moments happening in anyone's life that you could describe or underscore with music or just a simple melody.
In 2003 I started writing somekind of musical diary. The first reason was the birth of my beautiful child. Every true musician will understand my aims ... music is all about expression. Technic? Skills? Very important , but FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION ! The style of my music? I try to avoid the description NEW AGE, because it doesn't fit at all. My music contains style elements of:
Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov , Ravel , Schumann , Debussy , Satie , Keith Jarrett , Joe Sample , Lyle Mays , Robin Lumley , Tony Banks and the performances by Jaques Loussier, Benedetti, Perlemutter, Newman and some more ...
I love filmmusic. Most of my time I still spend on writing mini- scores for TV- Ads and shortfilms . You can tell a whole story without showing a picture.
What will you do,when a movie gets scary? You will turn off the sound. That's the power of music.
