Thanks for listening! I'm a singer/songwriter living in Austin, TX. I've been working on getting this EP done for a while, and I'm proud to finally have it here for you to listen to. This all started as a crazy idea between my roomate and I in my freshman year of college. We sat down and recorded some of my songs with one mic in the middle of our dorm room floor. These weren't what you'd call "high quality" conditions, but since then I've played every week for the Wesley Foundation of UT (with the best band anyone could dream of), at various coffee shops, and at a slightly shady Mexican food joint; working to develop my songwriting and performing.
These songs reflect some of my experiences, feelings, and beliefs. I think that these songs identify with truths about how life is, and how we're all passing through it. I hope that you can identify with them. The whole "It's Closer Than You Think" EP is up for you to listen to, so enjoy!
I recorded this at The Brain Machine Studio here in Austin with the help of my friends Carlos Salazar (producer), Aaron Forester, Kit Koop, and Jane Lo. The pictures were taken by Rachael Toomire, and Corey Keitz helped put the album together.
