About me: I've lived in Houston nearly 2 years now, after about 5 years living out of state in Washington DC and Salt Lake City. I now produce the 5am newscast at the CBS affiliate here in H-town, and I love my job! I grew up in the tiny town of Mason, Texas; I had a great childhood there but I'm definitely a city girl. I'm married to the most amazing man who treats me like the princess I am! He is definitely the cheese to my macaroni!
I'm a romantic and an idealist and I tend to be optimistic about life. I read anything I can get my hands on. I'm also a fiercely loyal friend. I can't stand hypocrisy or negativity. I have a weakness for baked goods and chocolate (a major sweet tooth!). Trying new brews and wines is one of my favorite hobbies. I absolutely adore traveling (especially to Spanish-speaking countries) and my most recent trips include Peru (Machu Picchu, baby!), Argentina and Uruguay.
So, I'm going to Big Bend tomorrow, and I keep getting this mental image of that blue shirt you used to have and the irony of it that we all used to giggle about. ;o) I love you, woman!
Do you have any plans for 1/20? I got one of those MoveOn emails and was thinking about hosting a party at my house, but I'm not really sure. I kinda wanna do something fun that evening with like-minded people, though, and of course you're the first one that came to mind.
I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and I probably won't talk to you before I leave, so HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hello! It has been a long time. Daphne says to tell you hi. She is a little busy now with our second child on the way. We saw your mom and dad at Rolly Lumpkins birthday party some time back and look to be doing fine as well. Tell them hi for us.
loved your pictures and your day to day writings! i told jarrod i'm calling you 2 this weekend, if you're going to be around. i can't wait to hear about it!! i don't know anyone else that's been there to share in my excitement.
Haha! I love it. It reminds me of the night I met my husband. Before him I dated a professional surfer with dreads, so the cowboy thing was QUITE a change for me!
