Tichaona Daniel Maredza is a Zimbabwean born self taught musician whose music is an acoustic guitar based fusion of Zimbabwean contemporary rhythms and afrojazz music powered by messages of inspiration ,hope, love and awareness on the different issues affecting mankind. He is a very passionate and determined musician who despite a lot of frustrations and setbacks has remain focused and believes he can put his name in the African music history books. A very talented guy Tichaona plays acoustic guitar, drums, keyboards, mbira(nyunga nyunga), marimba and a wide range of percussion instruments .He is also a singer /songwriter and currently working on his music production skills.He perfoms with a group known as The Tich Maredza Band which comprises of Larry Lewis on lead guitar, Andrew Mark on drums and his name sake Tichaona Gombiro on bass. Tich has two albums to his name with the first one called Eternity music volume one , recorded in Australia in 2002 . Ndinzweiwo his second album was recorded in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 2004.Tich is one of the musicians who has had a rare opportunity to share the stage with one of his greatest influences legendary Zimbabwean musician Oliver Mtukudzi and his Black Spirits band on their tour of the US and Canada as opening act and guest percussionist . He is also part of Masaisai a Toronto based Zimbabwean mbira and dance music band where he plays drums and does lead and backing backing vocals.He also does solo perfomances where he is just himself and his guitar. .........
