It all began April 23, 2006 when Andy Heriaud and Johanna Strouse again considered merging their production companies. After an hour of brainstorming they came to name the upstart Marginally Better Films. Within a few weeks the founders had recruited other members and put up a website where all of their content would be viewed for free.
That website can be found at our website.
Status Update on 2-13: We aren't dead, but filmmaking has had to take a backseat to school. Johanna is busy with Synchro and college apps and can't be bothered with. Andy has begun writing a script that he hopes to direct sometime before the end of the decade. Its also worth noting that he is currently researching techniques for stop-motion animation, in the hopes of making a music video in his free time. He also has a lot of footage that he is slowly editing, but release is not promised.
Marginally Better Things to Look for:
-Suburban Ninja and the Pirates. A suburban ninja couple has their lives shaken up when a family of pirates moves in across the street. (Writing)
-State of Nature. James is in a rut, his life is run by routine and his future holds little more than the promise of an office job waiting for him in ten years. This all changes when he meets Bjorn, a young anarchist who views chaos as the ultimate art form. As James becomes closer to Bjorn, he realizes that Bjorn is preparing to create his masterpiece.
