My interests include dancing and listening to music, especially Latin dancing and Salsa or Reggae, R&B, Motown, Soul, Funk, Jazz...you get the picture. I am a lover of multicultural events, Jazz Festivals, travelling to HOT countries, trying new and exciting things and meeting people, especially those who have grown and learned about life and enjoy sharing their stories and experiences. Cuba, Jamaica, Panama, Barbados, Mexico and Spain, are in my journals as places I have been as a traveller, not just a tourist. I speak Spanish and although not fluently, it is a language that I am constantly working on mastering. Dancing makes me feel alive and good music gets right down into my soul and stays there. I have my own business - DIVA La CONCIERGE which includes Personal and Corporate Concierge Services as well as project managment for condo renovations and redecorating. Film Production - documentaries and independent films is also a passion of mine.
Hmmm Heroes is a tough one because there are many. I would have to say that I have been greatly inspired by Oprah Winfrey, the music of Alicia Keyes, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner - their journeys and guidance through the music and actions that I respect and try to emulate. Those individuals are just a few that I can think of right now. There are many people in my life that I consider heroes including my step children (4) who make me proud and happy every single day and grateful that I have them in my life to guide and hug and kiss (even though it drives them crazy). My heroes are the youth of today who are trying their best to live a good life while struggling with all of the crap that goes with it ( I wouldn't be 18 again for anything). My heroes are the musicians and singers and artists who suffer for their art and still keep on giving it to us to help our lives and inspire us. My heroes are my friends and loved ones who are always here for me through my crazy life ups and downs!! I am like a one woman roller coaster - and I wouldn't have it any other way!!! They might wish I would "land" for awhile but I will do that when I am too old to move and then I will write about my adventures and hopefully inspire some young woman to keep on going no matter what the obstacles - and then she will be my hero too!!!

After several months "off" I have come back with two new projects that I have been working on during my time away from the hustle of the entertainment industry. Who I'd like to meet: Individuals working in the Entertainment industry who truly want to improve the financial situation of the talented performing artists and who are willing to work as hard as we are on their behalf. This could include promoters and marketers as well as the artists themselves. While it is important to be seen and heard it is also important to raise the bar on the value of your art! Whatever that may be!!! - Nothing makes me happier than listenting to talented artists "doing their thang" on stage - dancing until my feet give out on me or curling up listening to their latest CD, watching their performances on Television or reading their latest book. Where would I be without you? Life just wouldn't be as full and rich!
