Maria Andersson is of course me, singing and writing all the songs and some friends playing with me. They are Linnea Ohlsson - Cello, Cecilia Persson - Piano, Lisa Eriksson -Accordeon, Mattias Fjellström - guitars, Clas Lassbo - bass and Povel Ohlsson - Percussion.
Maria Andersson is my name and I was born in a small town in Sweden called Västervik. Nowadays I have my base in Stockholm. I work with the acoustic band you can listen to at this page and with the duo Lovemaster. I collaborate with Jon Rinneby on this first EP and with japanese producer Elmio on his debut album (release summer 2008).
Right now I live in Macau, China for one and a half year to work as a singer with Cirque du Soleil in the brand new residence show Zaia.
Klyftor växer och orättvisor blir allt fler i takt med att fler och fler människor känner att inget går att ändra på, men hur liten man än kan känna sig så kan man alltid påverka och ju fler som känner att de kan påverka desto större ändring kan man åstadkomma. Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Maria, your songs are so wonderful I had to start over and listen to each again. Thank you for the friendship. Your songs are so well done, lyrically, musically, and it gores without saying but I will, your wonderful voice. I really enjoyed all, but "Coffee" blew me away and "Hey come on now" is one of the best I have heard. What a wonderful opportunity with Cirque to live in China and perform. I am jealous. Anyway, thanks again, I can't wait to hear more. Be well
