Frank Lopez began his individual music career at an early age. As his family grew he passed on his music experience with all his children. So at a very young age his group grew from a duo to trio and now a full eight piece Mariachi band. He started with his own children and now his grandchildren are following the music tradition. Mariachi Lopez has performed here in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma since 1978 and still continues to share the Mexican music heritage. Frank Lopez and his Mariachi group have received the Musical Family of the Year Award in October 1982. They have toured Texas, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri. Mariachi Lopez is no stranger in Oklahoma City and have now released their new CD “Mariachi Lopez”. They have performed in many venues, included the Governor’s home, Festival of the Arts, Cox’s Convention Center, local restaurants and others to many to mention. Frank Lopez is the hardest working Mariachi in town!
