I am a singer/songwriter based in the North of Scotland, I have been involved in music for many years. I have played and sung blues, rock, grunge, alternative folk and much, much more with bands like 'The Blues Mamas', 'Mad Dog', 'Marandra', 'Dr' JKLM' and 'Rapscalion'. I also sang and recorded with Martin Stephenson and I am eternally grateful to him for teaching me so much about the music business and for allowing me to join him on some of the best gigs I've ever done.
Besides this, I was instrumental in running a musical organisation that assisted and developed budding musicians from my then local area. We ran successful festivals and hopefully inspired some of our members to embark upon a musical career.
I also have a love of animals and in particular my Irish Wolfhounds and Beagles which I successfully show throughout Britain.
Presently, I am writing and singing my own material and have my first solo album 'Her Spirit Is Free' out now and starting work on my next album.
I am lucky enough to be blessed with very talented and kind friends who session on my album, so I hope you will enjoy the experience and you should be hearing one of my songs as you read this... also check out all my videos mostly filmed live at various gigs, promoting my songs.
I've just added 'Hey Ho' and "Self Abuse" to my playlist above. I wrote 'Self Abuse' at a time when I didn't smoke,(still don't)or drink,(I still don't drink a lot)and I was celibate.(none of your business now!) It is simply saying that no matter how strong your will is, you'll always be addicted to something or someone that isn't doin you any good. Yep, "we all need some self abuse". This track was recently used in a film soundtrack.
I'm also singing and playing some guitar in a rock covers band, 'FutureX', which is great fun. You can hear one of my favourite numbers, 'Whipping Post', which we recorded during an early rehearsal. It is of course an Allman Brothers song. You can also hear more of FutureX and get more info on my website on nessmp3.com.
Well thankyou for reading and please feel free to contact me about any of the above.
Ahemmm...Why am I not in your past band members...I was in the Blues Mama's and Dr.JKLM..tut,tut..lol..Hope yous are having fun..but do try that thing called rest, I believe some people call it sleeping, admittedly its rather dull but is required for a healthy life..apparently..could be lies of course!!...Anyway looking forward to hearing the new song your going to do with Jeremy from the Lanagan/Campbell album...will you put it up when its done...I wouldnt mind trying to do that song too...mmmmm sexy song though...and ever since having to do that Etta James song, think I have given up on ever trying to sing sexy...I should go to bed...I am in a waffly mood and could ramble for ages...would be cool to do some songs with Micheal, I really liked his banjo playing..who would have thought..I normally associate that with 'hey, fiddle de diddle de day'...but ya see..I make it cool...hehehehe..Ok, goodnight :-) love you xxx
Fabian is in bed..he has been very good, we went to the cinema and watched 'Yes Man' with Jim Carey..Fabians choice..I would have been happy with Madagascar..but he said its a kids film..It would appear I am too immature for an 8 year old..Dont know if I can make it down to Aaron for New Year as have less than 20 days until my 1st exam and have done almost no studying what so ever...so need to get serious about it now..I can party after my exams!!...Only another year and a half to go anyways!!Well have fun, I am off to bed..love you xxxx
Hows you??Fabian is coming through today..Might go to the cinema..Now, dont forget my present..thats just a wee reminder..lol..Oh are you going to put up my Christmas song on You Tube...yep, yep..and ofcourse Micheal guesting on it..hehehe..Oh well back to my books, spent 2 hours tidying the house as an excuse not to study...See ya soon, love and bouncy happy thoughts from me xxx
Will see you on Thursday, I am working until Wednesday...Hope all is well and there will be no incidents with the chicken this year....particularly as I dont even eat chicken...but you know those quorn escalope things, could always have one of them as opposed to chicken....just a thought, Im quite happy with the veg, as long as I get more sprouts than everybody else...hehehe...Awww and a cute wee kitty...
Hows you??I am having a proper lazy day...was out last night and am for the first time in ages, alittle hung over...My poem, ahhh its not that enigmatic...Its about life passing, dont worry your not the mummy in it, or maybe we all are at some point...Its about whats familiar and is almost taken for granted, until someone else looks at it and sees different patterns...evolving...the squinting and the kalediscope, winter is death and change, from the old to new, hence the angels and guilded letters in stone..finally, the lover, their relationship has changed and although a part of it has died, its is better and has grown stronger...the moon, its how two people look at the same thing with different eyes...like the child, one sees beauty and stories, whilst another makes predictions from it that are not always good. Well thats kind of th jist of it but now if anybody reads it, the enigma will be gone...sadly!! Hope your having a good weekend, what rubbish weather though...Oh whats the name of the hotel or Inn coming into Brodie? If youve got its number could you forward it to me!!Much love and happy, not so bouncy thoughts to you's xxx
It was a real pleasure to be there for your birthday. Was still humming away to Psycho Killer at work this week :)
Im sure it is heart wrenching dismantling the studio but as they say all good things must come to an end and I have no doubt that Jeremey will be ready for the new opportunities abound in 2009.
My parents were watching it on telly. I've had a dig about but I cant find any clips The episode is called Poirot: The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb and unfortunately Jeremy died not long after I sent that comment - looked painful too, poor bugger
