In '92, the General Assembly chose March 22nd as WORLD WATER DAY: Despite the apparent abundance of clean water in the US and most of the developed world, more than 1 billion people around the world lack clean, safe drinking water and more than 2.6 billion lack adequate sanitation services.

    FOR MORE INFO: http://www.worldwaterday.net/

Just wanted to share with you that in the magazine BBC Focus on Africa magazine, there is an article about a free online video game launched by mtvU and human rights activists. It's called Darfur is Dying.

    www.darfurisdying.com That's the link.

It raises awareness about the crisis in the Sudan.

a synopsis on the podcast:

Darfur and Immigration -

After a long, and unexpected delay, Indirect Democracy is back. On this Podcast, I will cover a personal story involving a friend’s final step towards citizenship. It is important to remember all the people who come here to work and struggle to attain the American dream and be part of our collective experience as a nation. Sharing that moment with her is something I will not soon forget.
