The beings commonly known as Martin Reisle and Jack Garton were first sighted by a 14-year-old Spanish goatherd named Jacopo in the late 20th century, thirteen miles south of the Andoran border. Having been reared an indeterminate period of time by goats in the Spanish Pyrennes, they became a minor sensation within the scientific community, hailed by the Weekly World News as "the Mysterious Yodeling Goat Children of Andora". In the wake of this initial commotion, however, they have been paid relatively little media attention, save a brief foray by Jack into the hound-dog-eat-hound-dog world of Elvis impersonation during his adolescence. Having by the 21st century fully assumed their earthly personas, Martin and Jack are presently reclining on a picnic blanket composing their biography with the ambition of untold fame and fortune therefrom.
you inspire me. thank you so much for existing. there is something about coming into a show and knowing that I will get to hug the band after and drink with them and that they are all my friends (well even though todd mainly remembers me as that girl with no shoes on).
I forget who I am when you're not playing. it's interesting really. there's been few times I remember feeling fully completely and beautifully content and when I get to wear my red dress and dance without a care in the world, well there I find myself, beaming and happy and lovely. I don't even need you to love me. I just love me in those moments.
I can't wait until your next show. You're getting bigger and its cool to watch. I love being a part of it, or just feeling like I'm a part of it, it's funny really because I think thats what you do for people, you make them feel like they can be a part of it if they want to, they just need to get up and dance! love it. love you. all of you.
thanks for bringing out a part of me that I didn't know I had. it's the part I love the most and I'm going to try and find it more often.
it's the no worries, no cares, just love of the music, love of the energy, love of your audience, love of your instruments, love of each other even when you hate each other.
it would be awesome to come. but i help at a coffeehouse that my church puts on every thursday during the school year and this thursday is the first one.
you will have to tour through again soon tho, take care
Thanks for adding me! I just wanted to say, again, that your shows in Rolla/Dawson Creek were amazing! Hopefully you will travel northward again someday. Until then... I am enjoying the "miracle medicine show" disc ;)
well guys, thank you for the invite. I would be more than happy to see your show again, but I'm not in Penticton anymore. Good luck and best wishes and that, have a good time.. Badfret
hey! that film is neat. do you guys post new music often? i hear there's a lot of recording that goes on at your house...
-greg ps: Lindsay mentioned something about one (or more) of you building a theremin? that sounds wicked, one of my teachers at school was threatening to build one but never got around to it...
It was nice to meet you on the street there on the Eve of the Stevie Wonder Show there Martin! ... WOW!!! Your music is Very New and Fresh and almost Avante Garde for a popular music scene, and still Very Canadiana! Little hints of the Rheostatics and that east coast sound! I am Inspired to hear true Very Talented Artists in the West coast hear!!! ... Please don't Leave The Vancouver Scene!!! I hope we play a show together in the near future!
