About Maria Køhnke

In early 2007 I released my debutalbum COLLECTOR, produced by me and my friend Christian Bech. Ive recorded and edited the whole thing at my desk at home using the tiniest setup and whatever bad supermarket guitars we had available . Per Sunding has been mixing in Malmoe...

The album is being well recieved by the Danish press. The four star review in leading Danish music magazine Gaffa translates as:

In may 2008 I did a model theater piece for the song 'Cardboard Heart' and performed it live on 'den 11. time' (the 11th hour) - an alternative talkshow broadcasted on national danish television. I sang and played, while the two gentlemen Per and Carsten pulled the strings literally speaking. Click and watch our performance...

Apart from working with my own music, I am a member of audio poetry constellation Er de Sjældne. Also currently working on my master thesis at the IT-University, writing about design strategies oriented towards digital music media...

By the end of the year it's time for making a new album! Can't wait!
