Hope y'all are enjoying these beautiful Indian Summer days as we head on into Fall. I'm looking forward to hitting the road soon to promote my brand new jug band album,
"Maria Muldaur & Her Garden of Joy"!!!
Special guests on the album include John Sebastian, David Grisman, Taj Mahal, Fritz Richmond, Suzy Thompson, my sensational new discovery Kit Stovepipe (who plays absolutely amazing ragtime guitar!), and that illustrious ultimate hipster, Dan Hicks!
My touring Garden of Joy Jug Band will feature the funky, syncopatin' guitar work of Kit Stovepipe. Also joining me are the multi-talented Gallus Brothers, Devin Champlin & Lucas Hicks from the Crow Quill Night Owls on multiple acoustic instruments - mandolins, fiddles, banjos, jugs, tubs, kazoos, harmonicas - you name it! Last but not least, laying down that solid jug band groove will be Kurt Jensen on the bass and washtub.
We'll be coming to a theatre near you to play this fun, good time music, guaranteed to cheer your soul and make you shake it!
We're kicking off our fall tour with a few CD Release gigs in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area in late September, and then embarking on a 6 week tour that will take us all the way up the West Coast & into British Columbia. From there, we'll be meandering our way through the Midwest, and then, on to many dates on the East Coast, mostly in the Northeast.
