In addition to being a singer/songwriter, I have also been acting for since I've been very young. Here are some pictures from the plays I've done in completion of my BA in Theatre at Cal State Northridge
Who am I?
Throughout my life, I have experienced cherishing and captivating moments, but also pain and disappointments. Yet, regardless of the experiences, they have made me who I am today. A woman who feels comfortable in her own skin and wants You to see who she really is.
Through music and being a singer/songwriter, I express the deeper side of me, the side that not many see, that wants to come out, but only does through my lyrics. Through acting, I express a story of another, something I am passionate about and connects me to different types of people. Through the art of dance, I show through movement: emotion and life's expression.
I have been writing lyrics and melodies since I was six (a spiritual song)
I was in the international pop group "Kid Power" for 4 years. I was also the lead singer/songwriter of rock band "6 Blocks From Nowhere" for 2 years, performing at places like "BB Kings" and "The Key Club."
I was currently picked to join the Progressive RNB girl group "Vaniti Girl," and I'm working with the amazing Dalvin Degrate from Jodeci.
I have been acting since the age of four in musicals, plays, and some TV and film work. I have been trained in different types of dance including: Jazz (Classic, Lyrical, Modern) Ballet/Pointe, Tap, and Hip-Hop.
I'm also a girl who likes to have fun too. In high school, I was in many clubs (drama, dance, choir) I was also a competitive cheerleader who unfortunately had to have surgery because of a multi fracture to my ankle. It was a long process and the doctor said I'd never be able to dance again. But with faith, hope, physical therapy and persistance, I got up on my pointe shoes the following year. I was blessed enough to be on the homecoming court my senior year.
There have been many more ups and downs in my life, but they have made me "Who I am" today.
Right now, I'm making my parents proud by graduating college with a theatre degree, and I'm jumping into music working write now as a songwriter on some projects.
