I like most kinds of music, but I grew up with mainly classical music, musicals, folk music and jazz so I suppose that colours my songwriting. My favourite singers for years now have been Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand, but I enjoy many others too - Sissel, Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy, Diana Krall, lately I've also come to listen to Anna Ternheim... the list goes on. Many of you people who are on my friends list here inspire me too!

Hi! I'm an amateur singer/songwriter, pianist, viola (alto violin) player, and poet who wants to touch people with my songs, music and poems. (I'm now also learning the tenor guitar on my own.) I've written songs for years, but only lately taken it seriously and attended singer-songwriter courses every summer since 2003. There are still lots I have to work on, I know, and I suppose one is never fully learned. In 2002, one of my songs reached the top 9 in a national Christian songwriting contest, and in late 2004, a song I wrote for choir was published as sheet music with a publishing company. In 2006, I had gigs both in my old home town and in Stockholm where I live now. I have recorded three demo CDs including the latest one, and released one collection of poems.
Moreover, I'm available as a studio musician on the viola, and a music arranger with strings and choir as my focus. In my sound clips here, it's me who play the viola and the arrangements are all mine. Also, if you need songs or instrumental pieces transcribed into sheet music, I can help. Please do feel free to send me a message if you're interested. Today's technology makes also long distance projects possible. :-)
I'd like to network with other singer/songwriters around the world who, like me, feel that music doesn't have to be high volume and full speed. Music should create harmony and be pleasant to the ears. I also think that the best lyrics are those which convey a thoughtworthy message.
Currently I'm looking for creative, open-minded and good musicians in the Stockholm area to collaborate with on a long-time (why not permanent) basis on CDs, live performances etc. I'd love a guitarist (acoustic) to supplement my tenor guitar and piano playing, a bassist (preferably upright bass), maybe a flutist, clarinetist or oboist too. It would also be lovely not having to accompany myself all the time, and to be able to pick up my viola in the middle of a song and play an instrumental solo. :-) My next dream project is a CD all in Swedish, with songs quite similar to "Hjärtöga" (Hearteye) that I have up here.
