Currently, based in London, United Kingdom, doing what I do, being a visual artist by trade, but quite frequently...sharing old and new written material at events round town...
I was around music and bands since I remember...having the non speaking rolls or as a translator...:)My first gigs as a poet/singer were under the name of .GerdaDear. The consistency of .GerdaDear. usually depended on my geographical whereabouts and the artists who felt like participating... Then in July 2006 Footsteps on Mars remixed Hector's Song...The Hector's Mix got done by the amazing 10-D PJ (check the top friends). . . . My vocal expression probably started by winning competitions of interpreting of prose and poetry...back in primary school...then later on in Amsterdam, I started writing poems and stories reading them out occasionally on Radio 100...then established The Moving [Lejdybe:d] co. in the countryside of Quebec, that that I directed and wrote for...it consisted of Stephane Theoret (acting) Luc Bonin (music) Andre Bombardier (dance) and me (brushes, mime) . . .we performed few times at my art show openings...Then under the name of .GerdaDear. there was a 2002 performance at Dance Space Center on Broadway in NYC put together with Matt Heyner and his double bass to start it all. Then in 2003... 4 Graz, Austria shows were concepted and performed in collaboration with Andreas on bass, Kurtl on drums and guitar, Stefan on guitars and AlecTronic in presence and technical abilities. And in the September 2003 Hotel Rhizom, also in Graz, the show featured Anita Morth bass, Solveig Haring on guitar and me again on vocals. More recently, I spent 3 years in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK where I performed at Click Clack Open Mic weekly, with Dave Dowson ....on keyboard…and even more lately, I am doing some impro work with Raising Objections guys and also DJ Coley of LUV JAM got busy with some of my vocal bits mixing...we are also working with Lo-feef (The Ills) and Matthew Ratcliffe on cello...So yes, still here? Thank You for reading and listening...Do Keep in Touch and Take a good care…it is real nice to have you here...
Peace Sunday, June 5, 1982, Rose Bowl, no nukes - nuclear disarmament - stop nuclear madness concert - NYC - Central Park - June 12, 1982, 1,000,000 person march and rally for Nuclear Freeze. Sorry we missed the gig. Money was the problem. We've quite a busy week. Hope it went well. Keep us informed about any future gigs though. We'll always try and support what you do. xx
Thanks, Maria. The reason I know Bela a little bit is because she used my new media version of Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird in a couple of her shows - last year, I think.
Your musical pieces are really striking - the contrast between the fragile vocals and the bold experimentalism of the musical settings works extremely well. If John Peel were still alive he would have loved them. I particularly like "Honesty".

I'm going to try and get to your show on Saturday but unfortunately I'll probably have to work till after 2pm—ironically Bates Mill is on my round, I'll be delivering the mail there at about 9am on Saturday(!)
It looks like things are going well for you in London—good stuff. I really like the video (and song!) on your page.
I found that video you shot of my reading at Click Click (ages ago!!) and I've uploaded it to my page—thanks!
