Maria's love of all things Berlin-style cabaret formed in early childhood. With a German grandmother from her favourite city and a family who listened to a wide range of music including Marlene Dietrich, German schlager, big band music as well as more modern phenomena such as the Kinks and Abba (he he) she was destined to embody this music in her future life.

Fraulein Maria is a specialist in Weimar Germany cabaret and as an Anglo-German cabaret chanteuse brings new life and humour to the songs of traditional German cabaret.
Singing with her shining dulcet tones she presents lyrical and satyrical tunes in their original German language as well as English. She offers an assortment of music for everyone to enjoy.
A sensuous and comedic chanteuse, Maria revives the melodic tunes of the Twenties and Thirties from European cabaret, music hall as well as from the American Jazz Age.
Maria Trevis came to cabaret prominence as the Anglo half of co-creation (with Karin Hochapfel) The Germaniaxx - the anglo-german musical comedy duo. Most recent performance credits include two concerts at the National Theatre Foyer, Southbank London with the Germaniaxx and solo at The Cave in Banff, Canada.
