Usually solo now, but in the recent past I played a lot with the wondrous fiddler Shayna Gonsalves. I've been lucky enough to have members of String Builder, The Eyesores, Superchief Trio, V.Majestic, Plymouth Rock, Denim Venom, Mahi Mahi, The Stumblers, Black Forest/Black Sea, Fern Knight, The Duke Robillard Band, Gloria Deluxe, and Matty Charles and the Valentines back me up at one time or another. Joel Thibodeau of Death Vessel was in my first band The Vitatonics (with Paige van Antwerp and Geoff Griffin of Plymouth Rock) and became my duet partner for a couple of years -- we called ourselves The Hiccups -- and the two of us were sometimes joined by The Eyesores' head, Alec K. Redfearn (who was also in The Vitatonics). A punk band I had, The Prom Bombs, had guitarista Hilary Jones of The Sweethieves on lead guitar, Fern Knight's Chris Saraullo on drums and the ever-evolving Marcella Nova on bass. It's a good life! The musicians in Providence are the most supportive and generous musicians in the world!

Anyway, I'm fifteen (7/16) but I've been performing since I was nine. When I was eleven I got to play my first show in NYC (thanks to the wondrous Cynthia Hopkins of Gloria Deluxe) and later that year actually got to open for the amazing David Johansen & The Harry Smiths. When I was twelve I opened for Blue Man Group (got to see them transform from pink to blue) and played before my first (and only, so far) audience of more than a thousand people. I've finished recording my first CD at Machines with Magnets in East Providence, RI -- it's called Tear Bird Train and it's available NOW! Yeah!
