Back in 1995 I changed careers from being a meteorologist to a novelist when I began working on my first novel, Poison Study. Published ten years later in October 2005, Poison Study has gotten many great reviews, including a Starred Review in Publisher’s Weekly magazine. Poison Study has won the Compton Crook Award for best first book of 2005 given by the Baltimore Science Fiction Society, and was a 2005 Book Sense pick.
With the publication of Poison Study, I have been busy attending conferences, teaching writing classes, and doing book events. While working on my novels, I earned a Master of Arts degree in writing from Seton Hill University. And was invited to present a lecture at the Library of Congress’ What If Forum in Washington, D.C.
My latest book, Magic Study, was also a 2006 Book Sense pick, and Fire Study is scheduled for a March 2008 release.

HI and thanks for adding me to your friends. Fire Study is sitting in my to-be-read pile and I'm itching to get started! I know I'll love it as much as the others!
I'm so excited, I chose your book Poison Study for everyone to read in the book club I'm in. It gets better every time I read it I swear. The coolest part is that everyone I've told to read it has gone out and bought your other books. It's getting pretty popular in Santa Rosa haha. Oh and congrats on Fire Study being a NY Times best seller. That's awesome!
Just wanted to give you a heads up that my latest forensic crime thriller, Freezer Burn, is coming out June 3 ...that's tomorrow! It’s available for preorder on Amazon right now! I'll be doing a bunch of events in and around Philadelphia. For details, see my profile. Thanks for the friendship!
