About Squirrel Power

"Squirrel Power"-- formerly "Marianne Baker" on iTunes-- is a multi-talented Canadian singer/songwriter . She has worked with producers Flavio Monopoli ("How did we get to here.." - 2003) in Toronto and Sean Eyre ("Twenty Minutes To Live"- 2005) in Vancouver. A handful of her songs have been featured in indie movie soundtracks, for example "Twenty Minutes To Live" which played while Freddie Prinze Jr and Taryn Manning made love for the first time in "Jack and Jill VS The World", which was a really cute movie, by the way (that was worth mentioning). She moved to LA and did a little modeling between records, before becoming bored with that too and subsequently opening up a new studio on Toronto's Queen West where she is once again doing what she (some would say..) does best-- writing songs. She is also an aerial arts and acrobatic dance student in a local circus school-- she's getting pretty good. You might occasionally catch a glimpse of her hanging from something in and around the Toronto scene. Hey, you're only young once, right? Or more like twice or three times in this case. Anyways. There is a new record coming soon. Some things are worth waiting for (I hope you will come to think of this as one of them). Happy New Year everyone!
