I think it is time I let you go, and that is so hard to do because some part of me will be in love with you for the rest of my life, but the daydreaming, the running in place .. it's not healthy. Born in Manati Puerto Rico, our new and growing R&B sensation Maricelys was brought up and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. Grew up with a mother and family surrounded with beautiful talents and love for music. At a very young she began to study for dance lessons at the Academy of Arts in Hartford, CT. Being so young and loving music the way she did Maricelys grew up singing Selena , Whitney Huston, Mariah Carey songs. Pretty soon after that she also began to take vocal lessons at the age of 5 yrs old. At the age of 7 years old Maricelys began performing in her elementary school acts/plays as dancing and singing. As she was getting older she began participating in talent shows and festivals as singing and dancing with a group of very close friends, winning every talent show that she had participated in 1st place. Including in the year of 2000 she participated in a talent search in Bridgeport CT competing for a demo deal with Bad Boy Entertainment and won first place. Unfortunately things didn’t work out how she thought it would but that didn’t stop her from chasing a dream that she has been fighting for since very young. Meanwhile she kept on participating in talent show and fashion shows that her community where doing at the time. In the year of 2006 Maricelys was introduced and met up with Patty Label’s vocalists and began recording and continuing her vocal lessons. Currently she is working very hard recording her songs writing her own music, and trying to work her way to the top and getting back on the grind and start participating in shows such as in NY, PA , FL and many more… Hoping that one day at the right time and place someone would discover her and help her in getting to where she needs to be with a great record deal and a lot of success in life.
