Marie-Helene Raby (guitars, vocal) Marie-Helene studied classical guitar at the cégep Ste-Foy and Laval University. It was through her exploration of other instruments that discovered her passion for singing. The voice is the instrument that expresses her emotions to their fullest.she plays with the Búsqueda band, which is rooted in Spanish, Latin-American music. They performed as the opening act of Bïa at the Gerard-Ouellet concert hall of St-Jean-Port-Joli in May 2006. In 2005, she studied Flamenco singing, rhythm and guitar in Seville. She is still perfecting the art of “cante” (singing) by the tutelage of Montreal-based Flamenco singer Jose Luis Pérez, famous flamenco singer of the Montreal scene. Recently she was invited to take part in the Azafran Or Rouje show, performed by the Montréal flamenco Ballet troop Arte de Espana, at the Club Soda in September 2006. She also sings in the Vida Flamenca trio in Saguenay Lac St-Jean with guitarist Roger Boudreault and dancer Christina Tremblay.She is currently working with Mélissa Dubé on original material witch is inspired by vocal harmonies and the sound of classical guitar. This project promises to give a fresh new look to songwriting in Québec Marie-Hélène Raby (guitares, voix) Marie-Hélène a fait ses études en guitare classique au cégep de Ste-Foy puis ensuite à l’Université Laval. Sa recherche dans la musique l’amène à explorer différents styles et différents instruments. Elle découvre donc sa passion pour la voix, l’instrument qui lui permet d'exprimer ses émotions avec toute la force et l'intensité qu'elle a toujours cherché. On peut l’entendre au sein de l’ensemble la Búsqueda qui prend sa couleur dans la musique espagnole et latino-américaine et qui a fait entre autres la première partie de Bïa à la Salle Gérard-Ouellet en mai 2006. À l’été 2005 elle était à Séville pour y suivre des cours de guitare, de rythmes et de chant flamenco afin de découvrir et approfondir cette musique qui la passionne. Elle continue de se perfectionner auprès José Luis Pérez, chanteur flamenco réputé de la scène montréalaise. Sa passion et son talent pour le flamenco fait déjà jaser : elle a été invitée à participer au spectacle Azafran Or Rouje, présenté par la troupe montréalaise Ballet flamenco Arte de Espana au Club Soda en septembre 2006 et chante pour la troupe Vida flamenca au Saguenay au côtés du guitariste réputé Roger Boudreault et la danseuse Christina Tremblay.Depuis plus d’un an, elle travaille avec Mélissa Dubé pour l’ensemble de compositions L’Envol qui puise ses textures dans les harmonies vocales et les couleurs de la guitare classique. Cet ensemble tente de donner un nouveau coup d’envol à la jeune chanson au Québec.
