Marieke is 25 years old and lives in Schoonoord, a small town in the North of Holland. Marieke has always been interested in music and anything to do with it. She used to dance and sing to all the videos on TV when she was little. Being ‘in the picture’ has always been her thing!
3 years ago she ended up in the studio, which was not planned at all. A friend of her, who works in the music business needed someone for a music video and Marieke decided to work with him. After working on that project they were just hanging out in the studio. Another friend of Marieke told the producer that Marieke sings and writes songs as well. Marieke knew it was coming.. she had to sing for them!! Right there the first demo was made.
So all of this happened in 2003 and nobody did anything with the demo. Until the summer of 2006, when Marieke heard herself on Simone FM (Dutch radio station). “It’s Heaven” became a hit on Simone FM and soon other radio stations were interested.
The first single ‘It’s Heaven” will be officially released in Holland February 2007!!
To answer the question if she really wants to become famous, Marieke says: ”I see this as a hobby and I enjoy it very much!! I will see what comes on my path but for now, I’m enjoying every second of it!!

Marieke loves being around music, so she's till into the music scene, if she will ever release a new single, she can't tell, today she works a lot in the studio for other singers and other media stuff.
Hey, hier gaat ie ook prima, bijna tijd om naar huis te gaan!! Heel veel zin in maar eigenlijk wil ik ook nog wel wat langer blijven ;) Maargoed, kan nie alles hebben!! 21 juni zet ik weer voet op Nederlandse bodem.
Nog een 2 weekjes werken en dan is het tijd om vakantie te vieren hier! Ik ga samen met Josha kamperen in zuid Florida, haha!

Danjewel voor het accepteren! Je maakt heel erg interessante muziek. Het is mooi dat er weer zo'n hele stoet jonge artiesten aan het doorbreken is in Nederland. Ik denk dat het hele muziekbeeld binnen een jaar of 3 helemaal zal zijn omgegooid. Ik vind Stevie Anne heel goed, maar wat ik hier hoor, vind ik ook top!

heyyy... lang niet gesproken!! Ik zit inderdaad in Zwitserland.. als aupair:) ik ben hier nu 2 en een halve maand en zoals het er naar uitziet blijf ik nog wel ff! Heb het erg naar mn zin hier.
