   About Engage Transmission

rate music at supernova.comWe played our first show in our hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario at a venue called Kilroy’s. The date that we debuted into the scene was on November 7th, 2007. Branden and Taylor met up with James very quickly after Taylor had a shocking release without notice from his ex-band. Within 2 weeks from Taylor’s release from his old band, the new band with his older brother Branden, and their new friend and band member James came to a start and to their first jam as a band, quickly we had ideas in hand for songs and cover songs to cover. How we got out band name? Well we were all throwing our ideas in for a band name, but we wanted a name that people would look at and not just assume that we play only one type of genre, as a band we try to make as many songs with various genres in the mix of our originals. So one night after a band practice, we were all sitting down writing some ideas down for a song we were making, then James went off topic and he said "Sorry guys, I have ADHD", Taylor quickly resopnded and said that he and his brother also have ADHD. We all thought that was pretty cool, waited a few weeks to see if that name sounded good to us and suited our mixture of genres, then we all agreed on the band name, and that’s how we got our name ADHD. If you feel like taking the time or feel like reading more information on the band biography, be our guest. Branden and Taylor are both brothers, and they have been trying to get a band started for a couple years now, in late August 2006, Taylor was asked to be the drummer for the band "X’s For Eyes", he played with them for a while but in early May 2007, Matt, a good friend of Branden and Taylor, wanted to get a band together, so in June 2007, the band started up and named the band "Donjerris". They played through the summer of 2007 and made a very good song and started making ideas for a few other songs, but Matt started to get carried away with other ideas and declined to do covers so the band didn’t seem to be working out. During July 2007, Branden and Taylor’s good friend and neighbor at their camp named Steve heard about the two wanting to start a cover band, and Steve said that one of his friends named James was looking for a drummer and a bassists to start a band with, during Thunder Bay’s annual Blues Festival 2007, Steve told Branden and Taylor that James was at the Blues Fest, so Steve found him and introduced James to Branden and Taylor, they talked about the band and said they should start the band. Things started to go downhill for Taylor in late August as his band "X’s For Eyes", without any notice, told Taylor that they replaced him with another drummer for personal reasons. Taylor was very down from this shock, Branden wasn’t pleased with Taylor’s band "X’s For Eyes" for the decision they made with no notice, so Branden told Taylor that they were gonna start the band with James. The first practice for the band was on Thursday, September 6, 2007 and on that day the three knew that this was a band that they knew they wanted to be in, Taylor even said in his own words, "This is the band I’ve always dreamed of!" The band has some original songs, but mostly cover songs, and they are going to record their songs, and play as many shows as possible in this franchise! The name of the band: The band name "ADHD" stands exactly what you think it stands for, "Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder", The reason the band chose this name is because they all have ADHD and thought it would be a cool name for a band. When they were deciding the name, they didn’t want to name the band a name that someone will look or hear the name and assume that they play that kind of music (For Example, "A Still-Life Franchise", sounds like a pop-punk band), The band wanted to find a name so people will hear the name and wonder what kind of music they play. ADHD plays and covers any Genre except for Emo and Rap!
