With 3 CD releases to her credit (Fold, This Moment and Live at the Jam Hut), she is in the process of demoing recent compositions in her home studio which is how you will hear her songs at this moment. .. ..Marie is currently performing in solo mode using her acoustic guitar and voice for an intimate and stripped back delivery of her songs. Influences
The first band I ever loved was 'The Cranberries', her vocal style still influences me now. Then I discovered local music like 'The Waifs', 'Paul Kelly' and the raw acoustic story teller style of songwriting. 'Air' is another favourite for their space and ambience. 'Art of Fighting' and 'Radiohead' for their textures. 'Bjork' for her uniqueness and passion to experiment. 'Lou Rhodes' for her honesty in her lyrics. 'Lior' for his everything and 'Tin Pan Orange' is my latest favourite. -
