Born in a small town in South France, Marseille, she started her career at an early age singing with family members in different venues; also singing with a Gypsy band and with several jazz musicians.
At age of 14 she was the lead actress of a Musical, and at age of 15 she worked on her first CD as a singer with one of the famous producers and songwriters in France.

Born in in 1985, in a little town in the south of France, Marseille , Marie Orphée had her first performances on stage at age of 12 with small bands and orchestras of her town. At this early age she auditioned for different shows and plays and at age of 14 she got the principal role as a singer in a musical called "Rubia". She then worked as a jazz singer and continued her performance around the town. All this exposure will bring her in 2003 co-working and recording an album with Jean-Paul Cara, a famous songwriter in Europe. She continued singing in France till the of age 19 and then she moved to United States to better improve her skills as a singer and as a keyboard player studying at the reknown contemporary school "Musicians Institute" in Hollywood, CA. In Los Angeles she continued her perfomances as a jazz singer in different venues with musicians like Jean-Marc Belkadi, Otmaro Ruiz, Brian Allan, Forest Robinson and many more... But Jazz Music is one of her passions, Marie Orphée found herself writing songs and lyrics both in french and english and in collaboration with other musicians in Los Angeles she had her first shows as a singer/songwriter, in venues such as Knitting Factory and Henry Fonda, etc. In march 2008 she won the first prize at the Musicians Institute as the Best Performance of 2008.
