I'm always humming. There is always a tune to most scenes throughout my day. My life is a mind musical. I have studied useless things that I use everday, like poetry, plants. I'm the mother of a daughter. Maizie Jade. I live with the musician, J. Lee, my daughter's father, my bandmate and best-friend. I've played/sang with Blue Gum Art, the Nervous Breakdowns, Liesl's Wet Dress, Sorceress of the Sky, Smile God Loves You, THIS, Subshrubs, Poetiks, Gravid Wives and currently the Rabbles. I've published a poetry chapbook, The Backdrop Line, and have books on the back-burner called The Dwarf Light, That City, Low, and The Public Sound inside the Sun. You can read some of my poetry in this blog. I released a solo album called The Wind On The Firecracker Of The Building Next Door on Pax Recordings. There are a zillion books and musical projects in the works. Not all are meant for anyone but myself. I have been involved with such artistic/political projects like the magazine, Processed World and Shaking San Francisco, a street theater group. I'm turned off by competitiveness, apathy and the military-industrial-entertainment complex. I'm inspired by mutual respect, the plant world, synchronicity and laughter. If I haven't already given you any of my work and you'd like something, just ask.
That be me! So good to find you. We'll have to catch up. I've always loved your writing: glad to hear you putting it to music. I've been seeing spiders everywhere...they are an omen I need to write more, which I haven't been doing of late.
