an old wooden guitar, a new laptop + 2 voices an octave apart. marinda + solari sing spanish, portuguese, english + french and the colonial tongue has plenty to discuss. some girls + boys call it tripe, others love it and bUY the alBUM. but the multiplicity of modern judgement is in their favor because, like it or not, marinda + solari are doing it.
if folklore is trapped in a lift, marinda + solari are not going to rescue it. if you don't like sugary metaphors then don't look for them in a cup of tea. if marinda + solari remind you of days-gone-by then it's just a coincidence because they don't do revival + representation. the name of the game is revival + representation. besides there is no alter-native to currency and marinda + solari have no time for games.
marinda + solari read introductions to economy, trendy magazines and holy scripture and recognize american apparel as the biblical embodiment of 'now'. you wear your mask + they'll wear theirs.
on the outside marinda + solari are as ambiguous as president obama or a crack in cement and bi-partisan types constantly come in search of things marinda + solari have no idea about. but without inquiry who's to know if this is just old-fashioned branding + selling? some folks hold onto the notion of romance in the music and marinda + solari think that's great. still others are convinced romance is phony, usually 'cause they themselves can't find anyone to make music with. it's these same people who make 2oth century attempts at taking marinda +/or solari home, not realizing that with an offering of only $10 (or even cheaper online) they can fulfill just that fantasy.
people are familiar with the musical form of songs like ‘show me love’, 'city girl' or 'lazy day' where marinda + solari borrow decadent ideas such as 'togetherness' but counter them with telling contradictions + news headlines to provide a post-www. revue of our tainted + righteous world.

Ahhh I went to go see you guys tonight at Gate 403, but alas you were not there. So i cried a single tear, it turned to gold. Then I sold it on e-bay. But still it was not enough.
