Mario Guini, born in Argentina, gained his musical interest at age 12 through playing drums. At 14, he discovered more ability of creative expression by focusing and adapting to the electric and acoustic guitars. At which point he was enrolled and studied for two years at "Centro Polivalente de Arte de Buenos Aires", a conservatory of the arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Although Mario is, for the most part, a self-taught musician, he decided to study privately with his father who holds a Masters Degree in Harmony, Composition and Classical guitar from the National Music Conservatory of Argentina.
It was during this period of intense study that Mario decided to move close to New York City along with a group of close friends and musicians who all shared the dream of music. With this group which included the talents of Victor and Juan Sebastian Garcia ,Jeremy and Jonathan Powell and Stuart Robertson , Mario had worked on various musical projects, including those specified in the Jazz, Latin Jazz, Musical Theatre, Rock, Pop and R&B genres.
Later having met Erben Perez in 2003 , and subsequently joing Marc Anthony and his band as guitarrist for both his pop and salsa band since NOV. 2003 , he also has recorded on various productions with Erben for Marc Anthony, including Jennifer Lopez's last 2 albums Rebirth and the soon to be released all new spanish album with Mario Guini exclusively on guitar.
Also having formed his own rock band Talkingbuddha along with friend and partner Erben Perez , Mario has been co-producing and writing/composing all the material, on the album, and will be promoting the album throughtout the rest of the year.
Currently working and writing for two up and coming artists JEAN from Sony/BMG records, and Miredys Peguero from DefJam records, he is also working on producing his own spanish pop/rock album which is currently in pre-production.
