Este ambicioso bilingue puertorriqueño nacido en el Bronx empezo su carrera a la edad de 16 bajo el nombre artistico de "Chachi" cuando el formo el (bilingüe) grupo de pop "Fuego". La estrella de Fuego brillo luminosamente en los escenarios de N.Y. por algunos años con presentaciónes especiales y tocando para auditorios de todos tamaños por todo N.Y. incluso a actuaciónes como invitados especiales en el Symphony Space Theater, Club Ipanema, el Armory de NY y tambien en el Belmont Racetrack. El tema del día por Fuego culmino con una oferta para contrato de disco y una presentación en el gran desfile Puerto Riqueño de Nueva York.
Cuando el grupo Fuego se desintegro, Mario fue y formo un grupo de Hard Rock llamado Vogue's Rogues en que el fue el líder, cantante y compositor de canciones. Vogue's Rogues fue un grupo de hard rock muy diferente porque los liricos que Mario escribio como Vogue (su nombre artistico con el grupo) eran canciones de esperanza, positiva y llenas de su comentario sobre el medio ambiente y sociedad. Formado en 1988, el grupo hizo un EP que estrenaron en 1992 y que recibio aclamacion mundialmente en el underground de hard rock. Esta aclamacion ayudo a Vogue's Rogues a ganar fanaticada mundialmente y empezaron un Internacional Fan Club. Fueron firmado por World Conquest Records en 1995. Mario fue el productor de el primer album de Vogue's Rogues titulado "Desecration of an Innocent World" y que fue estrenado en Enero de 1996. El album recibio mucho elogio desde la prensa y su fanaticada mundialmente. El primer sencillo titulado "Get a life!" alcanzo la posicion ..3 en Europa en el radio hard rock! Una breve gira por el noreste de los E.U. se hizo en soporte del album. Por parte de una serie de eventos, el grupo Vogue's Rogues se convertio a Vogue's Rogues, el acto solista antes de ser terminado. (Su grupo VR se evoluciono a Society's Soul y un nuevo album de Society's Soul sera estrenado este año).
Durante su pausa de su grupo VR, Mario decidio a regresar a sus raíces y entrar al mundo de la música latina otra vez, esta vez como solista y bajo su propio nombre. Su debut álbum como solista titulado "De un corazon a otro" fue estrenado en 1999 y presento la pericia de Mario en escribiendo líricos y música. Porqué fue el quién compuso, arreglo y programo toda la música que contiene el CD y también escribio todos los líricos. 3 canciones del album ganaron airplay en el radio de los E.U. y tambien mundialmente.
Con el estreno de su segundo album, Mario M. ha decidido a traer mas de sus otras raices artisticas a su musica y a incorporado rock en el la mezcla latino. Su segundo album titulado "Rockero Soy" fue estrenado en Mayo de 2004 y otra vez presento la pericia de Mario en escribiendo liricos y musica, y tambien producio el album. "Rockero Soy"es una fusion de 10 canciones pop latino / dance / salsa y rock.
This ambitious bilingual Bronx born Puerto Rican began his musical career at the age of 16 when he formed the bilingual dance / pop group "Fuego". Fuego's star shone brightly on the N.Y. scene for a few years with special performances and playing to audiences of all sizes all over N.Y. including shows as special guests at the Symphony Space Theater, Club Ipanema, the N.Y. Armory and Belmont Racetrack. The buzz created by Fuego culminated in a record contract offer and an appearance in NY's Puerto Rican Day Parade.
Fuego turned down the record offer, however, as the group members were looking to do other things by that point. Mario went and formed another group, this time under the stage name of Vogue and being the leader, lead singer and main songwriter for a Hard Rock group named Vogue's Rogues. Vogue's Rogues was a different type of hard rock band as the lyrics that Mario wrote as Vogue were songs of hope, positive ideas and filled with social and environmental commentary. Formed in 1988, they put out a self produced EP in 1992 which received worldwide international acclaim in the hard rock underground scene. This acclaim helped Vogue's Rogues to gain an international fan club and they were signed to World Conquest Records in 1995. Mario produced their debut album "Desecration of an Innocent World", which was released in January 1996 and received a favorable response from the press and fans world wide. It also received college airplay in the U.S. and their first single titled "Get a Life!" reached ..3 in airplay in Europe on hard rock radio! A brief North East U.S. tour was done in promotion of the album. Due to a series of events, Vogue's Rogues the band, became Vogue's Rogues the solo act before being disbanded altogether. (VR has since evolved into Society's Soul and an album will be released later this year).
During his hiatus from VR, Mario decided to return to his roots and enter the world of Latin music again, this time as a solo artist under his given name of Mario. His debut album as a solo artist titled "De un corazón a otro" was released in 1999 and spotlighted his song-writing and lyric writing proficiency as he composed, arranged and programmed all the music contained on the CD, he also wrote all the lyrics. 3 songs off the album received good airplay in the U.S. and internationally.
With the release of his 2nd latin album, Mario M. decided to bring more of his other roots into his music and incorporated rock into the latino mix. His 2nd album titled "Rockero Soy" was released in May 2004 and once again spotlighted his song-writing and lyric writing proficiency, in addition to having produced the album. "Rockero Soy" is a fusion of 10 latin pop / dance / salsa and rock songs.
