Marion Guerrera's name has always been in the lights. At a young age she began her performing career, participating in revues in NJ. She later performed in Community and Dinner theatre, and worked with the Seawind Production Company in South Jersey. Marion sang and acted as a lead role in musicals such as Guys and Dolls, Music Man, My Fair Lady, and others. New York City was home to her acting classes, as well as vocal lessons when she studied with Marcy Lindheimer. Marion’s career as a vocalist and performer continued to grow when she joined the singing group, Makin’ Music. She’s performed at numerous venues like the magnificent St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, country clubs, restaurants, and various churches throughout New Jersey.
Marion then became heavily involved in radio as Broadcast Journalist and Entertainment Editor for WADB 96FM, where the radio realm was a gracious home to her for almost 6 years. During this time she ran her own radio show, conducted interviews and Q&A sessions with artists on-air as well as hosting a call-in show, all while doing her own engineering. It’s no wonder that Marion developed her own following of radio listeners; with her warm disposition and knowledgeable musical background, the show was rated 1. After making public appearances, writing commercials, doing voiceovers, and field reporting for 96FM, Marion was presented with the Women of Achievement Award as Broadcast and Entertainment Editor.
After thoroughly enjoying her radio days, Marion is now focused on her musical career. She sings with a fellow soprano as the duo Leading Ladies, performing Broadway show tunes, American Songbook standards, and classical pieces. They have performed at The Villages in Howell, New Jersey. Marion recently performed solo at the Deal Country Club and restaurants throughout the area.
Marion recently released her solo album, “On the Wings of an Angel” on Bellazure Records which can be found in Jack’s Music Shoppe in Red Bank, and other specialty stores in the Fair Haven and Rumson area. Marion’s career is never at a stand-still; from rehearsals with Makin’ Music, upcoming solo performances, the promotion of her record, and her vocal studies with Cynthia Springsteen, you can be sure that the lights will always read Marion Guerrera’s name.
