Sounds Like
A little like Frank Sinatra, a lot like Mario Rosales.
Mario Rosales was born one of eleven children in Los Angeles, California and raised in a home full of musical talent. He started his life of music at the age of 5, learning both piano and violin simultaneously. Later came the clarinet, saxophone and his favorite and best instrument, the guitar. After serving in the U.S. Air Force where he continued playing his music and occasionally competing in talent contests, he decided to pursue his life long love of the arts.
Mario has been performing as a singer, actor, comic and musician in Southern California and across the nation for more than two decades. He has combined his singing talents with his abilities as a top-notch comedic impressionist and created a show he calls “Mario, Frank & Company”.
This show is definitely a crowd pleaser! The name of the show is intended to symbolize the show’s content… Mario Rosales who sings Frank Sinatra’s biggest hits with songs that span Frank’s career from his early days as a skinny crooner to the later hits he recorded while on the Capitol Records label. The “& Company” part of the show’s name comes from the fact that Mario includes some of his best impressions in the show, including a tribute to the great, late comedian Rodney Dangerfield where Mario pretends to channel the spirit of the departed comedian into his own body. The metamorphosis is uncanny, and the impression is so good, it’s almost eerie.
Mario’s impressions are obviously meant to sound like the famous people he mimics, but the singing portion of the show is pure Mario Rosales. His style is similar to Frank Sinatra’s, but the voice is deeper and Mario puts his own stamp on the songs.
When you come to see Mario perform, be prepared to be thoroughly entertained by this big man with a big voice…
