I was born and raised in Argentina. Before I can remember I've always had this intense love affair with music. It wasn't until the age of 12 that I really began to explore this unchartered territory and began fooling around on the drums. So I did what any other kid would do and joined a local band...keep in mind I had NEVER played any instrument in my life - what a disaster that was.. LOL).
From that point on I was determined to learn anything and everything I could about music, theory, instruments, you name it. After a year or so on the drums- with not much improvement, I picked up the guitar and FINALLY found my calling. It was from that point on that I really began to shine and take my career as a musician to the next level.
At 17 I decided to make a move and relocate to NYC along with a group of close friends and fellow musicians to fully pursue our goals. I was eventually recruited by my dear friend and bassist Erben Perez (Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez) to work on a few projects. The creative sparks flew and it was inevitable that Erben and I would start collaborating on future musical projects.
It was November of '03 that I would be offered a chance of a lifetime - Marc Anthony was performing at Madison Square Garden and one of his guitarist's didn't show up and they needed a replacement immediately so I was asked to do the show as a fill in. Within a matter of weeks I was permanently welcomed into their musical family.
Who would have thought that I would be given the greatest opportunity of all to become a world class musician performing and touring with some of the biggest names in the music industry - many of whom I looked up to and idolized! As clichéd as it may sound- Dreams can really come true, but dreaming in itself is not enough in this industry. You not only need to have a dream, but you MUST have the drive and discipline to back it up and make shit happen. I can honestly say that I am extremely lucky to have such a dynamic team guiding my career and helping me stay focused and on the beaten path.
I will be forever grateful and humbled to the everyday challenges of life's ups and downs as it has given me the strength, the courage and the foresight to see the bigger picture.
