About Mario Spinetti (...currently in the studio!)
Mario Spinetti grew up in the backstage wings of opera houses, which led him to arrange, direct, and perform musical compositions for major TV networks as well as taking a solo bow at Carnegie Hall before he was 16!
Critics often invoke Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright, and Freddie Mercury when they try to characterize his voice. Ultimately though, most listeners agree that his instrument, style, and material are unique -- that his "avant-pop" is something substantial, waiting to be discovered.
Hey man. I know I already told you, but it can't hurt to hear it twice. Your music is amazing and I don't say this to many people. Jeff Buckley is my favorite and your voice reminds me of him some (the music is more poppy, but in a good way).
Anyways, I'm glad you like our music too! Amy Crossman said she thinks we should meet up and I'm down if you are. I'll be back at Vassar at the end of August and would be happy to come down to the city if you wanna get coffee or something. You seem like a cool person to get to know.
Hi, I just wanted to say how much I love your music!! It's helped me out a lot recently and I think that's something most musicians strive for, so I just felt like you should know. I've been trying to tell my friends about you and stuff, haha!
Thanks for replying! Wow is this really you or you a dude who does the internet work for him? Ha ha :)
I have joined the mailing list! :P
Wow yes glad you like it, we did it way too fast on the night obviously :S It sounded much better actually there as the video quality is really really poor! Sorry bout that.. i think there is another recording somewhere which i will try to get hold of when i return back to W College.
I remember we had to choose a song for the competition and no one could agree on one, and then someone put your song on and we all sat in silence..
"Thats ganna be so hard to do, but it will kick ass!"
So we did your amazing song and unfortunatly had to cut out the instrumental as it would have been way too hard to do.. BUT in the rehearsals me and my friend Callum would always break out into AIR GUITAR and sing it just going way over the top ha ha but its the best part of the song!
It's a shame your so far away.. do a tour in England please :)
I'm so glad you liked it! Yeah, Charlotte put it all together, she's a genius. I showed her the comment you just sent me. Thankyou so much for taking the time to talk to me, and watch the video! it means so much! thankyou thankyou thankyou :):):):) xoxoxox
woah your music is incredible. my friend and some people at her school did Delirious for their choir in a music competition, it was insane and they won, obviously (:
